Zoe Saldana, born June 19th, 1978 was the daughter of Asalia Nazario as well as Aridio Saldana. Her mother and father have both been Puerto Ricans. She was raised in Queens, New York. In 2010, she relocated with her family to the Dominican Republic where they spent seven years. Zoe discovered a love for dance performance while living in the Dominican Republic. She began training in the ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy and was there to learn dance and various forms of dancing.
